Detailed Description

This Kawai KG-2C Grand was built in Japan around 1980, and is an example of Kawai’s professional-level instruments. The materials used were of the highest quality, and this example has gone through a full 113-point check to ensure it’s in excellent condition throughout.

As a 5’10” grand, the Kawai KG2C is compact enough for many domestic settings, and yet offers many advantages as a medium-sized instrument when compared to baby grands. In addition to its longer strings and larger soundboard giving a richer sound, the keysticks of the action are also longer, meaning that the keyboard has a greater level of control. This example has a beautiful, rich bass, a clear and singing middle section, and a bell-like clarity in the treble.

The piano has been maintained and tuned to the highest standards, and will give many more decades of good service in the future. The cabinet is in overall excellent condition, for its age.
