Detailed Description
This Yamaha C6 Grand was built in Japan, in the early 1990’s. Usually considered a Semi-Concert Grand, the C6 is a popular choice in smaller concert halls, in addition to studio spaces. Yamaha grands of this length are given a higher level of attention in their manufacture when compared to the smaller ones, and tend to be built by Yamaha’s most experienced craftsmen.
This example has a full and rich bass sound with an open and sustained clarity in the middle section, and a truly bell-like sound in the treble area. Being a larger grand, the keysticks are much longer than with smaller instruments, meaning that the action has a much higher degree of control along the whole length of the key when compared to most other pianos.
This Yamaha C6 has been maintained and tuned to the highest standards, and will give many more decades of good service in the future. The cabinet is in overall excellent condition.
