Detailed Description

This Yamaha G5 Grand was built in the mid 1970’s during Yamaha’s Golden Age of piano building, when all of the manufacturing took place in Japan, and by the very best craftsmen. The materials used were of the highest quality, and so the pianos from this era are famed for being highly durable, retaining their quality for many decades.

This example is in stunning condition and has been very carefully looked after and tuned for all its life. It measures 6ft 6in or 198cm long and is finished in high gloss black. The sound is wonderful and clear: powerful in the bass and bell-like in the treble. The action is precise and clean, and it will give decades of good service.

The piano has been maintained and tuned to the highest standards, and will give many more decades of good service in the future. The cabinet is in overall excellent condition, for its age.
