Detailed Description
This Yamaha U1G was built in the early 1970’s, during Yamaha’s Golden Age of piano building, when all of the manufacturing took place in Japan, and by the very best craftsmen. The materials used were of the highest quality, and so the pianos from this era are famed for being highly durable, retaining their quality for many decades.
This example has a warm, deep bass, an open and singing middle section, and a sweet clarity toward the top. The action is medium-heavy, and so offers a lot of control for all playing types.
Overall, it is a highly versatile instrument suitable for students and professionals. It has been maintained and tuned to the highest standards, and will give many more decades of good service in the future. The cabinet is in very good condition, for its age.
