Detailed Description
This recent Yamaha YUS1 was built in 2007 in Japan. The materials used are of the highest quality, and the pianos from this era are famed for being highly durable, retaining their quality for many decades.
The YUS1 is characterised by the use of higher quality felt in the hammers and dampers when compared to a standard U1, as well as hand-wound bass strings. This example has a very well-balanced sound, with a resonant bass coupled with a sweet clarity in the treble section. The action is medium heavy, and so offers a lot of control for all playing types.
Overall, it is a highly versatile instrument suitable for students and professionals. It has been maintained and tuned to the highest standards, and will give many more decades of good service in the future. The cabinet is in excellent condition throughout.
