Detailed Description
This Yamaha C3 Grand was built in the early-mid 1980’s during Yamaha’s Golden Age of piano building, when all of the manufacturing took place in Japan, and by the very best craftsmen. The materials used were of the highest quality, and so the pianos from this era are famed for being highly durable, retaining their quality for many decades.
The Yamaha C3 is one of the most popular grand pianos available, since it is compact enough for many domestic settings, and yet offers many advantages as a medium-sized instrument when compared to baby grands. In addition to its longer strings and larger soundboard giving a richer sound, the keysticks of the action are also longer, meaning that the keyboard has a greater level of control. This example has real richness and warmth in the bass, an open and resonant middle section, and a brilliant clarity in the treble.
The piano has been maintained and tuned to the highest standards, and will give many more decades of good service in the future. The cabinet is in overall excellent condition, for its age.
